The Push-Lock Turnbuckle Concrete Anchor Bolt by Ultra-Tec is an exposed, swageless, tensioning fitting that is designed for use in level applications where it can be face-mounted onto concrete surfaces only. It can be used with any type of fitting on the opposite end of the cable run. The fitting itself consists of five separate pieces: Concrete Anchor, Anchor Bolt, Fitting Body, Lock Nut and Push Lock Stud. The concrete anchor (which is sold separately) is driven into a pre-drilled hole on the surface of your concrete. The short thread of the anchor bolt portion of the fitting is then threaded into the concrete anchor. The lock nut is then installed all the way onto the exposed machine thread of the anchor bolt first, followed by the fitting's body. The Push Lock is threaded into the cable, and the cable attaches to the stud fitting via the Push Lock locking wedge system, which requires no special tools for installation. Tension is then created by using the body of the fitting as a turnbuckle. Once the desired tension is reached, the lock nut is used to secure the body of the fitting in order to prevent it from slipping and loosening.
