Swageless Tensioning Fittings

Swageless tensioning fittings for cable railing systems provide a convenient solution for securing and tensioning cables without requiring specialized swaging tools. These fittings use an innovative Push-Lock locking wedge system, allowing cables to be securely attached and securely held. As tensioning fittings, they are critical for ensuring the proper cable tensioning, which is essential for the railing system's structural integrity and aesthetic alignment.

Invisiware Receiver with Push-Lock Stud

The Invisiware Receiver and Push-Lock stud are compatible with metal or wood posts, 1/8" and 3/16" diameter 1x19 stainless steel cable, and ONLY level runs. Any fitting can be used opposite of this fitting combination.

Installation requires that the cable is attached to the Push-Lock Stud, via the special Locking Wedge System, which will grasp the cable when inserted and will tighten with tension. Then, the receiver is placed into the post with a Delrin washer for metal posts or a stainless-steel washer for wood posts. The stud is then reconnected to the receiver.

Push-Lock Tensioner with Threaded Bolt

This fitting is suitable only for level runs and metal posts. It is compatible with 1/8" and 3/16" diameter 1x19 stainless steel cables and can be used with any fitting on the opposite end of the run. It consists of a Push-Lock tensioning body and a Threaded Bolt.

Installation: The Threaded Bolt is mounted to the post. The cable attaches to the Push-Lock using special Locking Wedge technology, similar to a zip tie; the cable goes into the Push-Lock but cannot come back out, as it tightens with tension. Then, the Push-Lock is reconnected to the Threaded Bolt.

Push-Lock Tensioner with Threaded Clevis

The Push-Lock Tensioner with Threaded Clevis is suitable for level or pitched runs and is compatible with 1/8" and 3/16" diameter 1x19 stainless steel cable and metal posts. This fitting features a clevis, allowing it to articulate as needed, and it can be paired with any fitting on the opposite end of the run.

To install this fitting, disconnect the body from the threaded bolt. The cable will attach to the tensioner via the locking wedge system, which will tighten on the cable after insertion. Then, the Threaded Bolt can be mounted to the post, and the tensioner can be reconnected.

Push-Lock Turnbuckle with Threaded Bolt

This fitting is designed for metal posts, level runs, and 1/8" and 3/16" diameter 1x19 stainless steel cable. It can also be used across from any other fitting. It consists of the Threaded Bolt, the Tensioner Body, a Lock Nut, and a Push-Lock Stud.

Installation: there are several points of disconnection, but the cable is placed into the Push-Lock Stud, tightening upon insertion. Then disconnect the Threaded Bolt from the stud at the stud or lock nut. Mount the Threaded Bolt to the post and reconnect the stud, then tighten.

Push-Lock Tensioner with Hanger Bolt

The Push-Lock Tensioner with Hanger Bolt is only suitable for level runs, wood posts, or composite sleeves. This fitting is available for 1/8" and 3/16" diameter 1x19 stainless steel cable and consists of the Hanger Bolt and a Push-Lock tensioning body.

Installation requires the bolt to be disconnected and drilled into the wood post. Then, the cable is threaded into the tensioner body, locking into the body with the locking wedge system. Then, the body and the hanger bolt can be rejoined.

Push-Lock Tensioner with Lag Clevis

This fitting suits pitched or level runs, wood posts, and 1/8" and 3/16" diameter 1x19 stainless steel cable. It is compatible with any fitting on the opposite end of the run and consists of two pieces; the articulating Lag Clevis and the Push-Lock tensioning body. Installation, like the last fitting, requires that the bolt end be mounted to the post and the cable can then be inserted into the tensioner body. It will lock into place thanks to the Locking Wedge System, which catches the cable and will tighten with applied tension.
